How To Measure Blinds
Having a made to measure blind for room gives you the perfect fit and look. See below how to measure your windows and have your blinds made in no time with Amor Blinds & Curtains. All our products are set out in cm and require both width and drop measurements.
Measuring A Recessed Window
STEP 1
Use a metal tape measure so you can be as accurate as possible.
STEP 2
Measure the width of the recess at the top, middle and bottom. Remember, not all windows with be the same width all the way down. Take the smallest measurement as your width.
STEP 3
Now measure the drop of the window recess. Use the same method as in step 2, taking the smallest measurement.
Measuring Windows Without A Recess
STEP 1
Use a metal tape measure so you can be as accurate as possible.
STEP 2
Measure the width of the window. Add 10cm/4in to your measurement, this will allow for a 5cm overlap on either side, for a better fit.
STEP 3
When measuring the drop of the blind, you will need to decide where you would like the blind to finish. Once you have decided on the drop, note your measurement.
